CAREER SERVICES SPECIALIST
Responsibilities:
JOB PLACEMENT & EMPLOYER RELATIONS
• Establish and maintain relationships with local unions and employers to identify job opportunities that align with participants’ skills and career goals.
• Match program participants with suitable job openings by reviewing resumes, conducting assessments, and preparing candidates for interviews.
• Assist employers in understanding the benefits of hiring women, offering resources to support inclusive hiring practices.
• Develop and maintain a network of employers willing to consider candidates from WINTER’s Apprenticeship Readiness Program.
• Facilitate placements, ensuring a successful match between job seekers and employers.

OUTREACH & RECRUITMENT
• Conduct community outreach to women, local community centers, schools, social service agencies and other relevant stakeholders.
• Promote WINTER’s Apprenticeship Readiness Program through various channels, including in-person visits, phone calls, email campaigns, social media and community events.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners, including womenserving organizations, nonprofits and schools.
• Identify and engage underrepresented groups of women, within the community who can benefit from attending the Apprenticeship Readiness Program
